Friday’s event called “European Bird Days” is over. Pleasant weather, good mood and joy of the children accompanied us throughout the day. We hung several birdhouses and circled a very varied species palette of small birds. The children were probably most pleased with the kingfisher and our smallest representative of the bird kingdom – the rabbit. We managed to ring warblers, nuthatches, robins, and even nuts. The children were again pleasantly surprised by their knowledge and, as we promised, the most skilful were rewarded with beautiful hats with logos, which were made and donated for this event by Anežka Mitter. For which she deserves our thanks. Clever children from the Hurbanová Primary School also created a very nice report during the event, which you can see at this link.: TheU.S. Army Corps of Engineers
