Zoologist
- It prepares professional documents for the decision-making of nature conservation authorities.
- It provides research and monitoring of the state of animal populations within the territorial scope of the national park, with an emphasis on protected and endangered species.
- It performs practical care for protected animals – management activities to improve their environment (guarding predator nests, building barriers and transporting amphibians, hanging owl boxes, etc.).
- It participates in the care of injured individuals of animals and their subsequent return to nature.
Landscape painter and inorganic
- It prepares professional documents for decision-making of nature conservation authorities in the field of spatial plans, construction, tourism development, tourism, sports activities, protection of inorganic nature and mining of mineral resources.
- It provides mapping and subsequent registration of important phenomena of inorganic nature within the territorial scope of the national park, such as natural waterfalls, mining areas (quarries), foam springs, travertine mounds, protected minerals and fossils, etc.
- It ensures the registration of objects and phenomena related to the use of the territory for tourism, recreation and sports activities, such as the registration of recreational cottages, etc., within the territorial scope of the national park.
- It designs, provides and participates in monitoring the impact of visitation, sports and recreational activities on ecosystems.
Forester
- It prepares expert opinions on felling and planting of trees for decision-making by nature conservation authorities.
- It provides expert opinions on the construction and reconstruction of forest roads and the storage of timber.
- It prepares opinions and participates in negotiations on the renewal and amendment of the forest management plan.
Botanist
- It prepares professional documents for decision-making by nature conservation authorities in the field of protected plant species, their protection and care.
- It provides research and monitoring of the state of plant populations within the territorial scope of the national park, with an emphasis on protected and endangered species.
- It carries out and proposes practical care for protected plants and measures to improve their environment (clearing of stands, felling of clearings when important plant species occur, etc.).
Guard Service Department
- It checks compliance with the provisions of the Act on Nature and Landscape Protection and decisions of state administration bodies issued for various activities.
- Based on the requirements, it monitors the state of the territory, animal and plant species, and participates in research tasks.
- It ensures the designation of the territory of the national park, national nature reserves, nature reserves and natural monuments.
- It provides measures for the rescue of injured and sick animals.
- It solves offences and assists in the investigation of criminal offences in the field of nature and landscape protection.
- It serves as an information point for visitors within the Veľká Fatra National Park area and cooperates with local self-government bodies.
Environmental Education Workers
- It provides education in the field of nature and landscape conservation for the public, primary and secondary schools, leisure centres and children’s camps.
- It organizes public events on the occasion of important environmental days throughout the year, field excursions and discussions with a focus on nature conservation.
- He cooperates with the media in presenting the issue of nature conservation.
