🌲🦉 What is the daily work of field workers who protect our natural treasures?
Come and find out with us – this time we will visit Smrekovica and from there we will go accompanied by our rangers to the Ľubochnianská Valley.

📅 On Saturday, 18.10.2025, we cordially invite you to another Day with an expert. Rangers of the Veľká Fatra National Park They will acquaint you directly in the field with the diversity of their work, the development of nature conservation in the area, draw attention to preserved natural habitats, animal habitats and show non-traditional natural scenery.

🚌 Transport by bus from Martin will be provided for registered participants, while it will also be possible to board in Sučany, Turany, Ľubochňa or Ružomberok*. Bus departures:

🥾 The route of our excursion will be moderately difficult, so we recommend it to participants who have at least basic physical condition. Due to the nature of the terrain, sturdy hiking shoes and appropriate clothing are required.

It is not possible to take dogs or other animals with you to the event.

  • what are the powers and responsibilities of the guards,
  • what situations guards encounter in their daily practice,
  • how nature monitoring is carried out,
  • why their work is crucial for the protection of biodiversity.

🎒 We recommend taking with you:

  • suitable hiking shoes and clothing for the mountains,
  • trekking poles, binoculars, or bear spray,
  • enough water and food for the whole day.
