Thanks to the independence of the Veľká Fatra National Park after the adoption of the reform of national parks in the previous year, there was room to hire new employees focused on the promotion of tourism and Environmental Education, Education and Awareness (EVVO).
As part of our activity, cooperation was established with schools in the spring in testing new environmental educational programs (ERA), but also with municipalities and other organizations in providing entertainment and educational stations at events for the public. Our EVVO lecturers also visited the social services center or diversified the program at children’s summer camps. 

For the new school year, the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park has published on its website an offer of new EVPs for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools in its area of competence. This will also be followed by an offer for other target groups; seniors and the public. Environmental educational programs are inspired by the modern concept of pedagogy and their topics reflect the current affairs of today. Schools can now order interactive educational programs complemented by a number of interesting aids made of natural materials on topics; NPVF – nature conservation, brown bear, or a program dealing with pollinators and their importance. The structure of the EVP and more detailed annotations to individual programs can be found on the page in the Environmental Education menu. To support the establishment of new cooperation with schools, the ERA for the school year 2023/2024 is offered free of charge.
The offer of programs will be supplemented according to the interest of target groups, current topics in nature conservation of the Veľká Fatra National Park and will be focused on the values, relationships, importance and benefits of protected parts of nature and landscape in our region.
The NPVF report will try to inspire all target groups with a positive attitude towards nature, its protection and motivate as much as possible to a healthy and, above all, sustainable lifestyle, so that future generations can enjoy the beauty and diversity of our nature.
