Brief description of the project: The project focuses on improving the status of species and habitats of European importance, improving the care and protection of these species and habitats through the development of management programs (hereinafter referred to as PS) for the following ÚEVs: Žarnovica, Dielnice, Turiec and Blatnický potok, Lúčanská Fatra, Niva Turca. The SP will be prepared in accordance with Annex No. 20 of the Decree of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic No. 170/2021 Coll., which implements the Act on Nature and Landscape Protection. The SP will take into account the requirements for improving the protection and care of species and habitats of European importance, which are the subject of protection of the above-mentioned SPAs and SPAs. The approval of these documents will define the requirements for the long-term and systematic management of the affected SPAs as well as the requirements resulting from Council Directive 92/43/EEC on the conservation of natural habitats and of wild fauna and flora and Council Directive 2009/147/EC on the conservation of wild birds. Thanks to the use of participatory methods in the preparation process, the interests of socio-economic partners leading to sustainable development will be taken into account in the area while fully respecting the most important mission of the Veľká Fatra National Park – the protection of rare natural values. At the same time, the actors will be connected and a dialogue will be established between the target groups and the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park, which will be a long-term benefit for both parties from a prospective point of view.
