In February and March 2023, the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park mediated the financing of afforestation for non-state forestry entities in the territory of the Veľká Fatra National Park from the funds of the Slovak Gas Industry. The basic condition was to manage the forest stands in the Veľká Fatra National Park in the 3rd degree of nature protection. 8 entities applied, 7 of which met the conditions for financial assistance. On 26.6.2023, SPP through its representative Mr. Krajčovičová, accompanied by an employee of the Veľká Fatra National Park Administration, Mrs. Vajdel and representatives of the supported entities checked the afforestation carried out in the field. The authorized representative of the Slovak Gas Industry (SPP) expressed satisfaction with the work carried out and the funds used efficiently. Representatives of non-state forestry entities also wrote to us about the success of financial support and thanks:
“The possibility of obtaining financial support from the CAP funds for afforestation has clearly simplified and accelerated our decision-making process when planning priority works in our forests. Thanks to this support, we did not have to calculate when and how much funds for forest restoration we can afford this year. We are happy to say that it was a purposeful and efficiently spent investment, for which we are grateful to the CAP.” Chairman of the PS Urbariát Belá
