Construction of the Žihľavná visitor and educational centre is currently underway, so construction machinery is operating along the 2 km section from the entrance to Gaderská Dolina. We ask visitors of the national park to exercise increased caution on this section of the road.

Gaderská Dolina is one of the most beautiful valleys in Veľká Fatra and the heart of the National Park. The valley is known for its rich fauna – bears, lynxes, wolves, and chamois live here, the latter having been successfully reintroduced.
A walk through the valley on an asphalt road is suitable for strollers and small children. It leads around the Mountain Rescue Service, through meadows with views of the surrounding rock walls. The educational trail informs about the nature and history of the valley.
