Program for outdoor events – Protected animals in the Veľká Fatra National Park

What forest animals live in the Veľká Fatra National Park and which are protected? What does a bear, lynx or capercaillie eat? Where do they have their homes in nature and why are they important in nature? Which animal is called a forest cow, does the lynx really have sharp eyesight and is the capercaillie really deaf? Let’s get to know together how animals live in the forest, how they survive different seasons and how they manifest themselves in their natural environment!

Activities:

  1. Brown bear – what food can we find in a bear’s stomach and what else can it fit there?
  2. Eurasian lynx – catch your dinner!
  3. Capercaillie – help the female capercaillie find the missing eggs and return them to the nest without touching their hands.
