The ruins of Blatnica Castle are located in the Veľká Fatra Mountains, about 2 km above the village of Blatnica. The castle was built in the 13th century to protect the Magna Via road. The walls of the western tower with loopholes and the remains of the walls of farm buildings have been preserved.
The route to the castle is suitable for a family walk. A yellow tourist sign leads from Blatnica. The elevation is only 174 m and the ascent time is up to 50 minutes. In front of the castle there is a tourist shelter and a public fireplace.
