Over the weekend, we traditionally participated in a nice event called “Turčianske medobranie a vodoslava 2019” , which took place on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the village of Necpaly. This time we had our information stand on nature and landscape protection in the premises of the primary school. Those interested could see several video presentations about the nature of the Veľká Fatra, learn something about the activities of the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park and the current issue of nature protection in Slovakia. Of course, the currently burning topic of tree felling in national parks in Slovakia was also discussed. Those interested could take various types of info – leaflets and brochures.
For the little ones, we had prepared demonstrations of bird feathers, casts of tracks, pictorial presentations of fauna and flora from the territory of the Veľká Fatra National Park. The walls of the primary school were decorated with 15 large-format photographs capturing the fauna and flora of the Veľká Fatra, posters and information banners. The participation was, as in other years, very abundant and several 100 visitors took turns at our info-stand. Finally, we would like to thank the organizers for the invitation and the pleasant atmosphere 🙂
