How did the Veľká Fatra Mountains come about? How do plants grow, what helps or prevents them from growing where they can? Which animal species do they provide sustenance, space for life and safety for their offspring? Let’s take a look together at some of the processes in nature that humans can influence and when it is actually for the benefit of ecosystems and wildlife of the Veľká Fatra.
- Simulations of conflicts of interest in the municipality
The municipality management should always strive for the development of the municipality for the benefit of the inhabitants and for the benefit of the landscape, which represents the environment for them. What if a developer appears in the village with a proposal for the development of the village, will the residents agree with it? Is the idea of development actually a beneficial activity, or is it an investment in the developer’s own business, regardless of the preferences of the residents. The pupils will try to agree on a compromise that suits the parties involved and discuss the requirements that are key in creating suitable conditions for the comprehensive functionality of the project.

Can we still coexist as an animal species with other living creatures? Let’s try to recognize species in our surroundings, let’s get to know their way of life and learn to recognize which of them are beneficial to us, which are dangerous and how to set the right conditions so that our coexistence does not have fatal consequences for our lives.
