🌿 A day with an expert in the Veľká Fatra 🌿
📍Smrekovica – Ľubochnianska valley
On Saturday, 18. On October 1, 2025, the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park organized another event from the Day with an Expert series. 💡👣 This time, the participants of the event, accompanied by the rangers of the national park, Ing. Peter Kubík and Bc. Miroslav Gejdoš , set out on 🌧️a 10 km long route from Smrekovica to the Ľubochnianská Valley. 🥾🌲
💬 The rangers shared their experience from working in the field, presented the history of nature conservation in the Veľká Fatra and explained the process of zoning the national park. The participants were shown the signs of the wolf 🐺 and the brown bear in the field , the principles of monitoring the golden eagle and peregrine falcon were explained. 🐻 🦅The need to comply with the Act on Nature and Landscape Protection in the context of maintaining peace and quiet as a necessary need for the healthy survival of protected animal species was also explained.
At the end, the participants were guided through exposed terrain with preserved forest habitats 🌳, where their importance and the need for preservation for future generations were discussed. Here, nature itself recognized the enormous feats of individuals and rewarded everyone with blue skies and sun rays ☀️shining through the branches of majestic firs, maples and beeches. We believe that you will spread the ideas of nature conservation further – and that a day like this was certainly not the last 💫
