Do you know the longest valley in Slovakia? It is a 25 km long Ľubochnianska valley, which stretches from Ľubochňa to the deep forests of the Veľká Fatra, and at the end of it you will find a surprise that few people know about – the Vyšný Tajch water reservoir. 
We invite you to experience this valley with us with a professional, entertaining and informative commentary by a forester who has been working in this valley for a long time – Ing. Martina Kútniková (on behalf of the Administration of the Veľká Fatra National Park).
The program (due to Children’s Day) will be more focused on families with children, however, all ages can participate, learn, and have fun.Where can you join?

What will await us?We will gradually take the bus to the very end of the Ľubochnianska Valley, while along the way we will have several educational and entertaining stops with various tasks for children and the spirit of young adults who do not take themselves too seriously…
Among other things, you will learn why the work of foresters is an important part of management in a national park, how we ensure forest protection, you will try planting young trees
and evaluating adult stands and much more.
and evaluating adult stands and much more.At the end of the program (approximately between 12.00-14.00) we will get to Vyšný Tajch, where we will roast sausages or other goodies together, which you will find in your backpack (so we recommend you bring something) and then the bus will take everyone back to Ľubochňa or Martin.
It is necessary to reserve a seat via e-mail rezervacie@npvf.sk no later than 30.5.2025 at 12 noon, or until the bus capacity is filled. Please include your names, telephone contact and pick-up station in the email. Each participant moves in the field at their own risk and we recommend that you arrange one-day insurance for the mountains. In the event of significantly bad weather, the event will be moved to another date. Don’t forget to pack a good mood in your backpacks. We look forward to seeing you.
