Since August 2011, when a memorial to mountain victims was erected near the Kráľova Studňa Mountain Hotel in the Krížna massif, an annual memorial gathering for mountain victims in Veľká Fatra has been held here. The next memorial meeting will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

A large memorial cross stands beside the memorial mound for those who fell in World War II, at a spot where hiking trails intersect. It represents a symbolic cemetery with plaques bearing the names of local mountain victims from approximately the last 100 years. These are remembrances of people who perished in avalanche accidents, froze to death, fell from cliffs after an unfortunate slip in mountain terrain, or were forestry workers.

The memorial site is located 500 m above the Kráľova Studňa hotel toward the Krížna ridge.
