The Turiec Water Company Foundation in cooperation with the Administration of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra National Park, mountaineer Jozef Kri\u0161toffy and the city of Martin have prepared a series of events for primary school pupils. Their goal is to introduce young people to the natural wealth of the Turiec region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The first event took place on March 27 at the Moscow Cinema, which met the organizers’ needs and provided not only the premises, but also the necessary facilities. The cinema hall was filled with pupils of the Hurbanova Primary School. <\/p>\n

The program was presented by the well-known water sprite \u010c\u013eupko from the Turiec Kingdom of Bees and Clear Water. He was assisted by the water nymph Vodulienka and the bee Teddy Bear. <\/p>\n

BEAUTIES OF THE GREAT FATRA<\/p>\n

In the first part of the event, we showed the audience an audiovisual program called “Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra, beautiful and mysterious”, about the natural beauty, fauna and flora of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra National Park. Then Juraj \u017diak told the children about how wild animals are photographed in the wild and the need for nature protection. <\/p>\n

WATER OVER GOLD<\/p>\n

The greatest natural wealth of Turiec is the rich reserves of extremely high-quality drinking water in underground springs. The pupils learned about the importance of this drinking water for our health, its power and magic from the film “Healthy Water from the Turiec Garden”. After its screening, the floor belonged to Tibor Adamek, a representative of TURVOD. He explained to the pupils why the drinking water in Turiec is of such high quality and healthy. He mentioned how many underground springs the population is supplied with drinking water by water supply systems. He also spoke about the most important and abundant spring – the Necpal Spring. He also stated that tap water is 380 times cheaper than various flavored waters packaged in unhealthy PET bottles. <\/p>\n

NATURE FOR SPORT<\/p>\n

In the next part of the program, the Slovak representative in mountaineering Jozef Kri\u0161toffy, the organizer of the Mountains and the City of Martin festival, introduced the audience to the opportunities that the surrounding nature provides for sports. On his own experience, he explained to the young generation how important it is for them to live their lives actively and healthily, but at the same time to be aware of and get to know what natural wealth surrounds us in Turiec, that it is not a matter of course and needs to be protected. <\/p>\n

At the end of the event, the organizers prepared a mini-quiz. The children answered questions focused on the topics that have just been presented. Whoever answered correctly was rewarded with material prizes. <\/p>\n

The whole event was scripted and directed by J\u00e1n Farsk\u00fd. Gradually, the organizers will also prepare events for pupils of other primary schools. <\/p>\n
