In<\/span> 2019<\/span><\/strong>, we commemorate the jubilee centenary of state nature conservation in Slovakia<\/strong><\/span>. On this occasion, the employees of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra National Park Administration<\/span><\/strong> planted 4 linden trees at the mouth of the Blatnick\u00e1 Valley. These were grown seedlings of small-leaved and large-leaved linden. <\/p>\n

The history of state nature conservation began on October 20, 1919, when the Czechoslovak Minister for the Administration of Slovakia, Vavro \u0160rob\u00e1r, signed a regulation for the establishment of the Government Commissariat for the Protection of Monuments in Slovakia, which also included natural monuments. The coexistence of state nature conservation with monument care lasted until 1981, when state nature conservation became independent. In its development, state nature conservation had several turning points. The most important of these was its legal provision in 1955. It was the Act of the Slovak National Council on State Nature Protection. <\/p>\n

Another important milestone is the establishment of national parks in Slovakia. The first was the Tatra National Park declared in 1948, which was gradually joined by another 8 national parks and 14 protected landscape areas in Slovakia. The youngest national park, which was declared in 2002, is the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra National Park.<\/strong><\/span><\/a> <\/p>\n
