From Turiec, you can get to it from Balcierovo (starting in the Necpalsk\u00e1 Valley \u2013 10 kilometers) or from Havranov (starting in the Belianska Valley \u2013 7 kilometers). It is a moderately difficult hike. Among tourists, Bori\u0161ov is a sought-after place not only for the beautiful circular view from the very top, but also for the Cottage under Bori\u0161ov, which is located below it. The most beautiful cottage in the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra, nestled in the bosom of nature. The cottage is located at the intersection of several trails. It is visible by its &#8220;baldness&#8221;. Its northern side is forested, the southern side consists of mountain slopes, which provide breathtaking views of the ridge of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra and the peaks of the Little Fatra, including Ve\u013ek\u00fd Rozsutec or K\u013eak. In good weather, you can also see the Low, High and Western Tatras. As the beginning of the route, you can choose the Jasensk\u00e1 valley (blue trail behind the Lysec cottage). You can descend for a change along the yellow trail. Tlst\u00e1 will delight you with its unique nature in the form of unusual rock formations, caves such as Ma\u017earn\u00e1, but also with an amazing view. The ascent to Tlst\u00e1 is best started in the Gadersk\u00e1 Valley. The whole hike is located in a unique natural environment. The views from the vast top of Tlst\u00e1 are worth it. You will especially enjoy the views above the Tur\u010dianska Basin to the L\u00fa\u010dansk\u00e1 Mal\u00e1 Fatra. It is worth connecting the hike with a circuit to the top of Ostr\u00e1. Ostr\u00e1 is the clear proof. The ascent to it is one of the most beautiful in the entire Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra. This part of the mountain range is completely unique in the whole of Slovakia. Here you will find an unusual combination of forests and a number of rock formations. The ascent to Ostr\u00e1 leads from the Gadersk\u00e1 Valley or the Blatnick\u00e1 Valley near Martin. The trail climbs through beautifully shaped nature. The rocky cliffs are unreal in places, the smaller caves hidden in the rocks look mysterious. Just below the top, you will overcome the rocky terrain with chains and pass through a small rock window, through which you will get to the very top of Ostr\u00e1. The terrain to Ostr\u00e1 is quite steep in places. The top itself is pointed. In good weather, you will have beautiful views of the whole of Turiec and the Mal\u00e1 Fatra. The Sidorovo massif is unmissable from afar. Climbing it will give you a hard time. You can go here directly from Vlkol\u00ednec. At first, you will walk on milder meadows, but later a proper steep slope will begin. The second option is the route from Ru\u017eomberok to Calvary. It is more lengthy and you have to overcome several hills. Along this route, you will pass through places with beautiful views (e.g. Great Rock). After the steep hike, you will have a semicircular view from the top as a reward. In good weather, you can see all the way to the High Tatras (especially Kriv\u00e1\u0148), the Low Tatras and the Liptov Basin opens up nicely. The top of Sidorovo is equipped with a railing with a viewing information panel. It is the highest peak of the Liptov branch of the main ridge of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra. You can take a hike for beautiful views from Rakytov along the yellow hiking trail from Liptovsk\u00e9 Rev\u00face from the Tepl\u00f4 locality through the Tepl\u00e1 Valley. You can make the route more pleasant by relaxing and visiting the Limba Shelter. Another ascent route leads from Smrekovica through Rakytovsk\u00e9 sedlo and you can also go here from Chata pod Bori\u0161ovou via Plosk\u00e1. The top of Rakytov provides a circular view of the Mal\u00e1 Fatra, the Low Tatras, the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra and in good weather you can also see Cho\u010d or the High Tatras. At the top, you will come across a lookout rose and a wooden cross, at the southern foot there is an interesting Rock Gate.      <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Rakytov\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3894\" src=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rakytov.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rakytov.png 1280w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rakytov-500x281.png 500w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rakytov-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Rakytov-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>PLOSK\u00c1 (1532 m a.s.l.)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Plosk\u00e1 is certainly one of the most original peaks in Slovakia in terms of shape. Thanks to its rounded shapes, you can recognize it well from afar. The vast grassy peak seems to characterize the entire Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra. Especially beautiful mountain meadows. Plosk\u00e1 is accessible from Vy\u0161n\u00e9 Rev\u00face through slightly ascending terrain. You can also get to the top of Plosk\u00e1 when crossing the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra ridge, for example, from Chata pod Bori\u0161ovom, from where you have it in the palm of your hand. The views from Plosk\u00e1 are among the most beautiful that the entire Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra can provide. They are circular to the distant horizon and you feel like you are in the middle of all the hills. You will see the Mal\u00e1 Fatra, the Low and High and the Western Tatras. Plosk\u00e1 is also one of the popular ski mountaineering destinations. You just have to be careful in winter, because the perimeter is lined with large slope disturbances and avalanche grooves.          <\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"Plosk\u00e1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3893\" src=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Ploska.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Ploska.png 1280w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Ploska-500x281.png 500w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Ploska-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Ploska-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>OSTREDOK (1596 m a.s.l.)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Ostredok is the highest peak of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra. It will provide you with beautiful 360-degree views of the main ridge, especially Such\u00fd vrch, Plosk\u00e1, \u010cierny kame\u0148 and Rakytov. Further you can see as far as the High, Low and Western Tatras, the Kremnica Mountains and the Mal\u00e1 Fatra. Despite being the highest in this mountain range, it is not a steep hill. It is a sprawling mountain peak, covered with grasses. It is very easily accessible from Kr\u00ed\u017en\u00e1. The part of the ridge between these peaks is especially beautiful. It represents an interesting, relaxed part of the ridge, which can also be completed as a family trip. There are several hiking trails leading to Ostredok, the starting point can be Liptovsk\u00e9 Rev\u00face or even the village of Blatnica through the Gadersk\u00e1 Valley. When you look at it from a distance, it seems uninteresting, but when you&#8217;re on it, it&#8217;s about something else. It is said that the view from K\u013eak is one of the most beautiful views of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra. From the top, you can see many peaks of the Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra, the Little Fatra, the Cho\u010d Mountains, the Western Tatras, but also part of the Low Tatras and the Moravian-Silesian Beskids. The Ve\u013ek\u00e1 Fatra Highway leads to its top and you can get to K\u013eak from Jarabin\u00e1. There are several access routes to K\u013eak. Shorter routes are from Podhradie, from Sklabinsk\u00fd Podz\u00e1mok, another route is from Krpelany to Sedlo Pr\u00edslop and also from the \u013dubochnianska Valley.      <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img alt=\"K\u013eak\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3888\" src=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Klak.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Klak.png 1280w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Klak-500x281.png 500w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Klak-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/npvelkafatra.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Klak-768x432.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>NOL\u010cOVSK\u00c1 MAGURA ( 1059 m above sea level)<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Beautiful views, no one anywhere, just you and nature. This is also what Nol\u010dovsk\u00e1 Magura &#8211; or as the locals call it &#8211; Mogura. The access route begins behind the village of Nol\u010dovo at the beginning of the Great Valley. From here it is a shorter but steep route. You can also extend the hike by going through the Great Valley to the Pr\u00edslop Saddle and from there to the top. With a shorter and steeper route, you will climb steeply up the forest until you come to a meadow, from there it is not so far. Although Nol\u010dovsk\u00e1 Magura is not one of the highest peaks, panoramic views from the mountainous peak will open up to you, especially of the Kriv\u00e1\u0148 part of the Mal\u00e1 Fatra.
