The protection zone was declared in 2003. The park is part of the NATURA 2000 network.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Zoning:<\/strong> The area is divided into zones A, B, C and D according to the degree of protection. Zone A (without intervention) includes old-growth forests and the most valuable habitats. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Monitoring:<\/strong> The National Park Administration provides year-round monitoring of large carnivores, predators, amphibians and rare plant species.
